President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ordered, today Sunday, during the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, to immediately start implementing the action plan related to developing green hydrogen production and launching a project to achieve 1,000 megawatts of solar energy during the current year.
The press release stated that “after listening to the presentation made by the Minister of Energy Transition and Renewable Energies under the title“ Energy Transition towards Sustainable Human Development ”,“ The President of the Republic ordered to immediately start implementing the various axes contained in the proposed action plan, especially in the field of developing Green hydrogen production and the launch of a project to complete 1000 megawatts of solar energy during the current year.”
The President of the Republic also stressed “the importance of engaging civil society activities to ensure adequate community mobilization for the success of this ambitious project for energy transition.”
