The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamal Rezig, will participate in the proceedings of the eighth meeting of the Council of Trade Ministers of the African Continental Free Trade Area, which is expected to be held on January 28 and 29 in Accra (Ghana), according to a statement by the ministry.
The statement indicated that Rezig will participate in person in this ministerial meeting, which will be devoted to discussing and adopting the recommendations emanating from the tenth meeting of the Committee of Senior Officials in Charge of Trade for the African Continental Free Trade Area, held from 24 to 27 of the current month.
During this meeting, the draft decision on the Continental Free Trade Area, which will be submitted to the 35th Ordinary Session of the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, will also be examined.
This ministerial meeting will also include a special ministerial meeting on January 28, with the aim of discussing and providing the necessary guidance on the outstanding rules of origin for automotive and textile products, according to the same statement.
