Road Accidents: 2 Deaths and 142 Injuries in the Last 24 Hours

According to a report released on Sunday by the Civil Protection, two (2) people died and 142 others were injured in road accidents that occurred over the last 24 hours in several provinces of the country.

The heaviest toll was recorded in the province of Oran, where one person died and two others were injured in a collision between two light vehicles on the N35 provincial road in the municipality of Oued Tlélat.

In addition, Civil Protection divers from the same province intervened to evacuate a person who drowned in a rocky area in Arzew.

In M’sila, the Civil Protection services evacuated a person who died from electrocution while using a water pump along a riverbank for irrigation purposes in the municipality of Ouled Adi el Guebala.

Furthermore, the same rescue team extinguished a fire that caused losses estimated at 30 palm groves in the municipality of Melili, province of Biskra.
