Sahrawi President participates in the inauguration ceremony of Kenyan President-elect William Ruto

President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, participated Tuesday in the Kenyan capital Nairobi, in the inauguration ceremony of President-elect William Samuel Ruto.

According to the Saharawi press agency (SPS), the Saharawi president was received on his arrival at the international airport of Nairobi, by an official government delegation.

The Saharawi president also received a warm welcome from the public on his arrival at Kasarani Stadium, the largest in the capital Nairobi, to take part in the investiture ceremony of President Ruto (55 years old).

President Brahim Ghali is accompanied by a delegation which includes the adviser to the Presidency of the Republic Abdati Abreika, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hamida El Hafez and the Sahrawi Ambassador to Kenya, Abah Elmad.

Kenya, an independent country since 1963, and the Saharawi Republic maintain close relations characterized by friendship and solidarity, in particular Nairobi’s permanent support for the just struggle of the Saharawi people for their right to freedom and self-determination.
