Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization is on a working visit to Algeria, as from tomorrow, Thursday

The Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, will start a working visit to Algeria as from Thursday, according to a statement by the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.

This visit falls – according to the same source – within the framework of “strengthening cooperation relations that unite Algeria with the organization affiliated with the United Nations, and it will also be an opportunity to implement, strengthen and expand the programmed cooperation projects between Algeria and the same organization.”

This visit is also part of “the implementation of what was agreed upon during a series of meetings held by the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts with the Secretary-General of the organization, which is an opportunity to exchange views and promote bilateral relations in order to support Algeria to re-establish tourism and make it a distinctive tool for economic take-off.” .

During this visit, “intensive talks will be held on the established work program between Algeria and the UN organization, as well as the delivery of a number of joint cooperation projects, such as the plan for marketing and promoting the destination of Algeria, as well as the tourism investment guide in Algeria,” according to the same statement.
