Sonatrach – Honeywell: Signing a memorandum of understanding to promote cooperation between the two companies

Sonatrach and Honeywell signed today, Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting cooperation between the two companies. This memorandum was signed by the Central Director of Logistics and Supply at Sonatrach, Mohamed Daoud, and the General Manager of North Africa at Honeywell Equipment and Technologies, Meziane Ghaouii.

The signing took place at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Sonatrach, in the presence of the CEO of the group, Mr. Toufik Hakkar, and the CEO of Honeywell in the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Mohamed Muheisen.

During the signing ceremony, the two parties expressed their common interest in impleementing the Memorandum of Understanding signed between them, which will enhance means of cooperation and exchange of experiences and expertise in the field of improving performance and technological control of Sonatrach facilities based on the principle of mutual benefit.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding with Honeywell, which is considered one of the most important suppliers of Sonatrach, comes within the strategy of developing and modernizing Sonatrach facilities by identifying the most effective technologies in order to reduce the carbon footprint, and digitization that aims to improve the operational performance of Sonatrach facilities as well as controlling digital technologies.

Sonatrach and Honeywell will also study, through the signing of this memorandum, the possibility of establishing a partnership with the Sonatrach Training Institute, with the aim of establishing an accredited center “Sonatrach-Honeywell” in Algeria to cover the accreditation and conformity needs for Algeria and Africa.
