Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra, who is on a working visit to the sisterly United Arab Emirates in his capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic, held constructive talks with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued today, Saturday.
The statement stated: “On this occasion, the Minister conveyed to Lamamra, His Highness, the brotherly and sincere greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to all the brothers, members of the Al Zayed family, and also handed him a message from the President of the Republic to his counterpart and brother, the President of the UAE.”
The statement continued: “The talks, which took place in a fraternal and positive atmosphere, characterized by complete consensus in viewpoints, made it possible to confirm the strong determination of the two parties to continue joint efforts with the aim of strengthening and enriching bilateral cooperation in the economic and investment fields, as well as consolidating the traditions of political consultation through intensifying mutual visits from both sides.” .
At a regional level, the statement added that, “the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the Arab arena and good preparation for the upcoming events, especially the upcoming Arab summit in Algeria.”
In this context, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed commended Algeria’s « unremitting efforts and rational approach in order to provide the conditions for the success of this important date and Arab reunification ». The two parties agreed to intensify bilateral and multilateral coordination in the Arab League to launch a preparatory path that would give joint Arab action more efficiency and credibility.
In conclusion, “the two sides renewed the importance attached by the leaderships of the two countries to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples,” the statement added.
