The Central Authority for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking seizes more than 03 kg of cocaine

The Central Authority for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking (SCLTIS), affiliated to the General Directorate of National Security, managed earlier this week, to dismantle an organized criminal network consisting of eight (08) people, including a woman, specialized in cocaine trafficking whose  activity centered in the province of Algiers. This qualitative operation resulted in the seizure and confiscation of 03 kg and 40 g of cocaine, an amount of money in the national currency exceeds 600 million centimes and 05 tourist vehicles and motorcycles.

The suspects were brought before the Public Prosecutor at the Sidi M’hamed Court, on the charge of forming an organized criminal group, with the intent of preparing for the felony of illegal transportation, storage and sale of drugs.
