The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his Russian counterpart, Mr. Vladimir Putin, had a telephone conversation during which they discussed relations between the two countries, particularly the prospects for energy cooperation, a press release of the Presidency of the Republic said on Tuesday.
“The President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his counterpart, Mr Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, had a telephone conversation during which they discussed relations between the two countries, in particular the prospects for energy cooperation,” reads the communiqué.
“The two presidents discussed, on this occasion, the planned meeting of the Algerian-Russian Grand Joint Commission, agreeing at the same time on the state visit that the President of the Republic will make to the Russian Federation next May,” the same source added.
