The President of the Republic decides to grant one billion dollars to finance development projects in African countries

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has decided to grant an amount of one billion U.S. dollars to the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development, intended to finance development projects in African countries.

In an speech read by the Prime Minister, Mr. Aimene Benabderrahmane, at the 36th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU), the President of the Republic said that this approach is based on “Algeria’s conviction that security and stability in Africa are linked to development.

“I have decided to provide one billion U.S. dollars to the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development for the financing of development projects in African countries including integration projects or those that can contribute to accelerate development in Africa, “said President Tebboune.

The Agency will undertake the implementation procedures of this strategic initiative in coordination with the African countries interested in benefiting from it.
