Yacine El Mahdi Walid takes office at the head of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Startups

Yacine El Mahdi Walid took office today, Friday, at the head of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and Startups.

A handover ceremony took place between Yacine El Mahdi Walid and the former Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of micro-enterprises, Nassim Diafat.

Yassin Mahdi Walid was Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of the Knowledge Economy and Startups before being appointed as a minister under the government reshuffle undertaken yesterday, Thursday, by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

In his speech on the occasion, Yacine El Mahdi Walid thanked the President of the Republic for the confidence he placed in him, stressing that he would work to “adopt a new entrepreneurship policy based on modern mechanisms.”

He added that he will work to “encourage entrepreneurship in all its forms by setting up modern mechanisms that do not depend on the distribution of rents, but on well-thought-out economic criteria.”
