Yacine Hammadi takes office at the head of Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts

Yacine Hammadi took office yesterday, Thursday, at the head of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, in replacement of Mohamed Ali Boughazi, following the announcement on Wednesday of the formation of the new government headed by Prime Minister Mr. Aïmen Benabderrahmane.

During the ceremony of handing over and receiving duties that took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, in the presence of the sector’s executives, the new minister expressed “gratitude and thankfulness to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the confidence he had put in him to manage this sector considered a strategic and important sector, as well as a driver of economic development and growth.

Hammadi pledged to “continue efforts and work to propose a plan that qualifies the sector to face-up to the current challenges through the integration of cooperation with all actors.”

The minister also expressed “his readiness to intensify work to promote domestic tourism and exploit its various components in order to market the Algerian destination locally and internationally.”

For his part, former Minister Boughazi expressed his congratulations to the new minister, wishing him “full success in his duties to boost the sector.”
