5 people were killed and 7 others were injured in a traffic accident that took place today, Sunday, in the municipality of Ain El-Turk, in the wilaya of Oran, according to the information cell of the Civil Protection Directorate in the wilaya.
The accident took place, according to the same source, near the service station in the Cap Falcon neighborhood in the municipality of Ain al-Turk, after a collision between two vehicles in unknown circumstances, leaving 5 passengers (3 men, a woman and a child) dead at the scene, while 7 others were injured.
Civil protection personnel intervened to rescue the wounded and transported them to Ain al-Turk city hospital, and the deceased to the mortuary department in the same hospital.
The National Gendarmerie of the Ain Al-Turk municipality has opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
