Tokyo Olympics: Algerian Yasser Triki qualifies for triple jump final

Algerian Yasser Mohamed-Tahar Triki won his ticket to the final of the triple jump competition of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, Tuesday at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo.

The Algerian ranked 3rd in the 2nd series with a jump of 17.05 M, behind the Portuguese Pichardo Pedro (17.71 M) and the Turkish Er Necati (17.13 M).

The native of Constantine (24 years) who holds the Algerian record of the discipline with a jump of 17.33 M, is ranked as the 9th world player in triple jump.

  The final of the triple jump event will take place on Thursday at 3:00 am (Algerian time), in the presence of the 3rd world player, the American Claye Will (18.14) and the Burkinabe Zango Hugues Fabrice, the world record holder of the specialty indoors (18.07) and the African record holder outdoors (17.82).
