African Open Swimming Championships: Algeria achieves a positive participation by winning third position

The Algerian national swimming team ended its participation in the African Open Championship held in Ghana (October 11-17), by winning the third position in the overall final ranking after winning ten medals, including two gold snatched by Jawad Sayoud, in addition to the bronze medal in open water swimming, which are “positive” results, according to analysis of the director of the national team of the Algerian Swimming Federation.

The national team participated in this continental event with five swimmers, led by Ousama Sahnoun and Amel Malih, who participated in the last Olympic Games in Tokyo, in addition to duo who’s active in the French championship, Jawad Sayoud and Ramzi Chouchar, while the list of locals was limited to the swimmer of Al-Barid Club of Algeria, Abderrahmane Arjoun, after his colleague Anis Djaballah (Union of Algeria) withdrew due to injury.
