Algerian defender Djamel Benlamri signs a two-year contract with Qatar Club

Algerian international defender Jamal Eddine Benlamri joined the ranks of Qatar Club, on a two-year contract, according to an announcement posted on social media by the club belonging to “Qatar Stars football League”.

The yellow club stated on its official account on “Twitter”: “Qatar Sports Club contracts with the Algerian player Jamal Eddine Benlamri for a period of two seasons to support the team’s ranks.”

With this, Benlamri (31 years) joins his fellow countryman and teammate in the Algerian national team, Youcef Belaili, in the club.

The African champion with the “greens” had previously played in 2019 for NA Hussein Dey club, JS Kabylie and ES Setif clubs in the national championship, after which he had a professional experience in each of the Saudi youth club, with which he spent four seasons (2016-2020) and was among its main pillars and Olympique Lyonnais in 2020, with which he only appeared in six matches, including two as a main player in the French Cup competition, noting that he scored only one goal.

The “Greens” defender received a large number of offers during the last period, but he preferred to join the ranks of Qatar Club.

The “King” club seeks to appear distinctively in the next season, by supporting its ranks with more than one player during the summer transfer period, such as Javi Martinez and Sebastian Soria.
