The director of the Western Sahara Film School in Spain, Taiba Shafaf, presented the “Gonzales Send Award 2022” to the movie “Wani Bik” directed by the young director, Rabah Slimani.
This award is granted annually by the Spanish Academy of Film to cinema works committed to and supportive of liberation issues and social justice for its efforts to convey the voices of oppressed peoples on the sidelines of the Algerian film’s participation in the Zaragoza Festival from November 25 to 27, 2022.
As a reminder, the film Wani Bik won the Grand Prize at the Festival in Western Sahara last October.
The film was produced by Mirror Broad in partnership with the Algerian Public Television and with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
