Algerian National Library reopens its spaces to readers and researchers

Algerian National Library announced in a statement today, Tuesday, the reopening of its doors and spaces to receive readers and researchers, starting from September 16, after nearly two months of closure in the framework of measures to prevent the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.

The statement, which was published on the official Facebook page of the Algerian National Library, stated that “in implementation of the decision of the Prime Ministry to lift the procedures for closing cultural centers and libraries and in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Culture and Arts, the Algerian National Library announces the opening of its doors and spaces to receive readers and researchers, starting from September 16, 2021.”

The statement highlighted that the reopening of the National Library to readers and researchers will take place in strict accordance with health measures taken to limit the spread Covid-19.

As a reminder, the Algerian National Library announced, in a previous statement, the temporary closure of reading rooms, starting from last July 27, as part of preventive measures to limit the spread of Coronavirus pandemic and confirmed cases of infection in the Algerian National Library and to preserve the safety of its readers and visitors.
