Like the rest of the sub-committees of the Organizing Committee of the 19th edition of the Oran-2022 Mediterranean Games, the Media and Press Committee played a major role in promoting this sporting event by creating a website to highlight the preparations for the event and provide local and national media with various information related to the Games.
The same committee mobilized all the means for the benefit of national and foreign journalists to cover this Mediterranean event slated from June 25 to July 6 in the best conditions. It also counted the registration of about 2,068 accreditation requests for journalists, including 1,596 requests from the national written, audio and video press and 472 other requests for the foreign press.
The committee also provided all the means and equipment for journalists and media professionals at the level of the International Press Center located in the “Meridian” hotel.
With the beginning of the Mediterranean Games, the same committee will undertake the creation of a guide for the games in coordination with the National Agency for Publication and Advertising, which will be distributed to athletes, media outlets and others, in addition to the creation of a magazine and daily newspaper throughout the games at the level of all centers, stadiums and sports structures and other locations.
It should be noted that, among its activities, the same committee initiated a special celebration for the 100-day stay of the Mediterranean Games, with the participation of representatives of the local and national written and audio media, as well as the electronic press.
