Algerian sprinters, Djamel Sidjati, Yacine Hathat and Slimane Mouli, will compete Wednesday night in the 800m qualifiers for the World Athletics Championships, now taking place in Eugene, USA (July 15-24), according to the competition schedule revealed by the organizers.
Djamel Sidjati will be in the fourth group programmed at 01:44 am (Algerian time), to be followed by his compatriot Yacine Hathat at (01:50) in the fifth group, while the turn of Slimane Mouli will come at (02:00) in the sixth group. .
The top three sprinters from each group qualify for the semi-finals, in addition to the six best times for the six groups.
It is worth noting that Algeria participates in this world championship with seven sprinters.
