Minister of Youth and Sports, Abderezak Sebgag, accompanied by the President of the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee, Abderrahmane Hammad, set up, yesterday, Thursday, in the conference hall of the Olympic complex Mohamed Boudiaf (Algiers), the committee in charge of monitoring and evaluating the preparations of the national elite for Oran 2022 Mediterranean Games , according to a ministry statement. .
The same source said, “According to the recommendations of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, regarding the optimal preparation for the Oran 2022 Mediterranean Games and the provision of all the necessary means for the success of this important sport event, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Abderezak Sebgag, accompanied by the President of the Olympic Committee, Abderrahmane Hammad, set up the committee in charge of monitoring and evaluating the preparations of the national elite for Oran 2022 Mediterranean Games.
The statement added that this committee includes experts and technicians with high scientific qualifications and field experience, in order to support and monitor the preparation of the federations concerned with the Mediterranean Games.
In his meeting with the actors in the sports movement who attended the inauguration ceremony of the committee, including heads of national federations, technical directors and national coaches, Sebgag emphasized that “the success of the Mediterranean Games is not limited only to the aspect of organization and the readiness of facilities, but includes primarily the achievement of honorable sports results that reflect Algeria’s ambitions as an organized country and the broad public which is passionate about sports in all its disciplines.”
The Minister indicated- according to the statement – “that the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has ordered the mobilization of all the necessary means for all athletes involved in this sport event in order to reach the set goals.”
The committee was also “entrusted with to intensifying the continuous and daily follow-up and periodic evaluation to prepare the athletes and the national teams scheduled to participate in the Mediterranean event.”
