Ministry of Health warned against the use of firecrackers and fireworks on the occasion of the commemoration of the Prophet’s Birthday, in order to avoid dangerous accidents that threaten the safety of individuals.
The ministry said in a statement, “Fire materials, such as crackers, fireworks, rockets, and others, may cause dangerous accidents” that threaten the safety of its users and the safety of family, friends and neighbors.
Among the dangers of fireworks, the ministry’s statement referred to “fires, the noise caused by the explosion of firecrackers and its negative effects on the material and moral comfort of individuals, especially the elderly, the sick, pregnant women and children,” noting that the sound of explosions may also damage hearing.
