Naâma : More than 920 families are expected to benefit from the Zakat Fund subsidies in anticipation of the month of Ramadan

929 needy families across various municipalities in the province of Naâma will benefit from financial aid for the holy month of Ramadan as part of the solidarity assistance of the Zakat Fund, according to the province’s director of religious affairs.

Khaled Malouka stressed, during the meeting of the provincial committee in charge of coordinating and monitoring the solidarity process for the month of Ramadan, that these families will benefit from financial subsidies amounting to 8,000 dinars each from the Zakat Fund for the 2020/2021 campaign, he added that the financial aid will be wired to the postal accounts of needy families before the beginning of the holy month.

The same official stated that the allocation of this financial aid to this social group represents the amount collected through donations made by the benefactors to the Zakat Fund, estimated at a total amount of 7 million and 480 thousand DZD, in a bid to provide help to the groups that were counted by the mosque committees of the Charity Council of the province’s Directorate of Religious affairs and endowments, as part of the solidarity efforts for the holy month of fasting.

For his part, the governor of the province of Naâma , Idir Medbab, gave during this meeting, instructions regarding preparations to send a series of solidarity caravans to grey areas with the aim of distributing basic foodstuffs to poor families, as well as authorizing the opening of collective breakfast restaurants by private individuals and benefactors in addition to various other solidarity initiatives.
