The High Prefecture of Tamazigh organizes several forums and activities to promote Tamazigh language and all its linguistic variations before the end of the current year.
These activities are represented, according to what was announced by its Secretary-General Si El-Hachemi Assad, during a press conference held at the headquarters of Al-Moudjahid daily, today, Saturday, in the National Forum for Tamazigh Book, and another national forum on the Tamazigh linguistic map in Algeria, and the ceremony of the President of the Republic’s Prize for Literature and Tamazigh language in its second edition.
The spokesperson added that the National Forum for Tamazigh Writers will be organized from October 11 to 14 at the University of Abderrahmane Mira in the capital of the province of Bejaia, and more than one hundred writers, researchers and specialists in the field of Berber language and culture will participate in it.
As for the National Forum on the Tamazigh Linguistic Map in Algeria, Assad explained that “its activities will take place from 23 to 25 October in the province of Adrar in the south of the country.”
Regarding the second edition of the President of the Republic’s Prize for Literature and Tamazigh Language, which was established by a presidential decree on August 19, 2020, Assad stated that the handing over ceremonies “will coincide this year with the festivities of Tamazigh year “January” and will take place in the capital of the Ahaggar Tamanrasset.”
