Rainfall sometimes in the form of thunderstorms, locally accompanied by hail and wind gusts during storms, will affect several provinces in the Central and Eastern regions of the country starting from Thursday afternoon, according to a special meteorological bulletin (BMS) issued on Wednesday by the National Meteorological Office.
This BMS, classified as “Orange” alert, concerns the provinces of Tipaza, Algiers, Blida, Médéa, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bouira, Bejaia, Jijel, the north of Sétif, Mila, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf, and Souk Ahras, where expected rainfall amounts are estimated between 20 and 40 mm, and locally may reach or exceed 50 mm from Thursday at 3 pm until Friday at the same time.
