Snowfall will affect the mountainous regions of the Center and East of the country on Thursday, starting from 800 meters and locally reaching lower altitudes around 700 meters during the night, according to a special meteorological bulletin (BMS) issued on Wednesday by the National Meteorology Office.
This BMS, classified as “Orange” alert, concerns the provinces of Médéa, Blida, Boumerdès, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaïa, Jijel, Skikda, Bouira, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Sétif, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, Khenchela, and Tébessa.
The expected snow depth is estimated to be between 10 and 20 cm during the validity of this BMS, from Thursday at 3 pm to Friday at the same time.
