Five people died and two others were injured in a traffic accident that occurred today, Thursday, on the bypass road linking in the north of Tiaret, according to the Civil Protection Directorate.
Captain Rabah Boukhari, who is in charge of media in the same authority, explained that the accident resulted from a collision between two tourist cars, which led to the death of 5 people at the spot, aged between 3 and 84 years, and two people aged 61 and 79 were injured.
Civil protection personnel intervened and provided first aid to the injured before transferring them to the Hospital and transferring the deceased to the mortuary department in the same hospital institution.
The roads of Tiaret have known a heavy toll in terms of traffic accident victims in less than 72 hours, as the number of dead people rose to 8 and the injured were 3.
