Algerian Walid Ferhah won a bronze medal in the club throw in the 31st category during Tokyo Paralympic Games2020, today, Saturday.
Ferhah, who is participating for the first time in the Paralympics, came third with a throw of 35.34 meters (a new African record), while Liu Li of China came first, after setting a world record of 45.39 meters, while the Greek Konstantinidis won the second place and the silver medal with a throw of 38.68 meters.
For his part, the other Algerian Bahlaz Lahouari came in the fourth place with a throw of 33.06 meters, while his compatriot Ahmed Mehideb ranked eighth with a throw of 31.34 metres.
Adding this new medal, Algerian national team has five medals, including one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
