Traffic accidents: 10 people died and 129 injured in the last 24 hours

10 people were killed and 129 others sustained injuries of varying severity in 93 traffic accidents across several provinces of the country during the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Civil Protection Services today, Sunday.

On the other hand, the same services recorded the death of two people asphyxiated by carbon monoxide gas in the province of Setif inside their residence located in the municipality of Ouled Saber, in addition to the ambulance and rescue of 39 people suffering from difficulties and shortness of breath as a result of inhaling carbon monoxide emitted from various heating devices and water heaters across several province of the national territory.

With regard to activities related to the prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus Covid-19, during the same period, the civil protection units carried out, during the same period throughout the national territory, 31 sensitization operations for the benefit of citizens, urging them and reminding them of the need to respect quarantine rules as well as social distancing, in addition to carrying out 16 sterilization operations across the facility and public structures, especially residential complexes and streets.
