Traffic accidents: 6 people died and 371 injured in the last 48 hours

Six (6) people were killed and 371 others were injured in various traffic accidents that occurred across separate regions of the country during the last 48 hours, according to a toll reported today, Saturday, by Civil Protection Services.

Meanwhile, the bodies of three people swept away by the waters of Oued Miter in the municipality of Bousaada (M’sila) were recovered. They are two men, aged 56 and 41, and a 9-year-old child.

During the same period, the death of 5 people drowned in the sea and water swamps in the provinces of M’sila, Tebessa, Annaba and Boumerdes was recorded.

With regard to activities related to the prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus, during the same period, Civil Protection units carried out 174 awareness-raising operations across the entire national territory to urge citizens and remind them of the need to respect the rules of lockdown and social distancing.

For the same purpose, 34 sterilization operations were carried out for public and private facilities and structures, in addition to residential areas and streets, the same source adds.
