Use of the Arabic language makes “good progress” in public administrations

The president of the Superior Council of the Arabic language, Salah Belaïd, said from Mascara on Thursday that the use of the Arabic language was making “good progress” in public administrations at the national level.

Speaking at the opening of a national symposium on “the contributions of ancient Algerian scholars to the sciences of the Arabic language”, organized within the framework of the International Day of the Arabic Language, Mr. Belaïd noted that the use of the Arabic language “was making great strides in public administrations at the national level”.

This one-day meeting, organized on the initiative of the Laboratory of Arabic Linguistics and Discourse Analysis of the Faculty of Arts and Languages of the University of Mascara, in collaboration with the Superior Council of the Arabic Language, discussed several axes focusing on the efforts of Algerian scholars in grammar, morphology, rhetoric, prosody and calligraphy, among others, with the participation of professors from several universities in the country.
