The Director General of the Algerian Television, Mr. Chabaan Lounakel, congratulated film director Rabah Slimani and the team that contributed to the crowning of the “Wanibik” film with the White Camel Award as the best film at the 17th edition of the International Film Festival in Western Sahara, which ended tonight in Aousserd.
“Wanibik” is an exclusive and joint production between Algerian TV and the “Mirror Broad” Foundation, which won the grand prize out of 20 participating countries at the end of the International Film Festival in the Sahrawi refugee camp of Aousserd. It is a film that depicts the suffering of the Sahrawi people with a cinematic vision.
The award was presented by the Sahrawi Minister of Culture, Al-Ghouth Mamouni, to Algerian director Rabah Slimani.
