The Algerian TV wins two awards in the activities of the Arab Radio and Television Festival in Riyadh

The Algerian television won two awards in the activities of the 22nd Arab Radio and Television Festival, which end on Saturday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, under the slogan “Media in a Shaping World.”

During this festival, organized by the Arab States Broadcasting Union, the Algerian Television won an honorary award for its efforts in advancing media work, and a second award in the category of films and programs on the Palestinian cause for a documentary titled “The profession of death” made by the Algeria’s TV correspondent in Palestine, Wissam Abu Zaid.

In a press statement, journalist Wissam Abu Zeid said that the film “tells stories of Palestinian journalists during the Zionist aggression on Gaza and the bullets of the occupation that targeted them in the West Bank and Jerusalem, it also sheds light on the case of the assassination of journalist Shireen Abu Aqila by the Zionist occupation forces.”

It’s worth noting that the activities of the 22nd session of the Arab Radio and Television Festival, organized from 9 to 12 November, was marked by the attendance of more than 5,000 participants, in addition to 500 media professionals from around the world and 300 production companies, representing the most important regional and international media organizations and bodies.

Se pioneers of the media and film industry were honored in the opening ceremony for their effective contributions to enriching the media content in the Arab world, including Algerian screenwriter and director Djaafar Kassem.
