The Algeria Declaration..a firm step towards achieving Palestinian national unity

Many countries and bodies welcomed the “Algeria Declaration” signed by the Palestinian factions, which emanated from the “Unification Conference for the Achieving Palestinian National Unity” under the supervision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and considered it an “important” step to achieve it. The Islamic Republic of Mauritania: praised the signing of the reconciliation agreement by the Palestinian factions under the auspices of Algeria, praising the tireless efforts made by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to bring the Palestinians together and achieve this historic success.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad said yesterday, Friday: “The Islamic Republic of Mauritania received with great satisfaction the signing on Thursday, October 13, 2022, of the reconciliation agreement between the Palestinian factions under the auspices of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.” On this happy occasion, the Mauritanian government congratulates the sisterly Republic of Algeria, on this historical success achieved thanks to the tireless efforts of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Tunisia: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad welcomed yesterday, Friday, the Palestinian factions’ signature of the “Algeria Declaration” stemming from the “Unification Conference for the Achieving Palestinian National Unity,” and considered it an “important” step to achieve national unity in order to establish an independent Palestinian state with El Quds as its capital.

Libya: The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation welcomed the signing by the Palestinian factions on Thursday of the “Algeria Declaration,” stemming from the “Unification Conference for the Achieving Palestinian National Unity,” describing the step as “positive in the path of national unity and consolidating the national project to establish an independent Palestinian state.”

In a statement, it said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation welcomes the Palestinian factions’ signature of the Algiers Declaration stemming from the reunification conference in order to achieve Palestinian national unity.” This is a positive step in the path of national unity and consolidation of the national project to establish an independent Palestinian state with El Quds as its capital.

“In this perspective, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms the support of the State of Libya for all steps aimed at ending the division and achieving Palestinian national unity, as it is a supreme interest, and to encourage all Palestinian parties to dialogue to overcome differences and move forward, to enhance the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in resisting the occupation to achieve their legitimate rights.

Russia: The Russian Foreign Ministry welcomed yesterday, Friday, the “Algeria Declaration” emanating from the “Unification Conference for the Achieving Palestinian National Unity,” which was held in Algeria between the various Palestinian factions, considering that it opens the way to achieving Palestinian unity.

China: Yesterday, Friday, China commented on the “Algeria Declaration”, which witnessed the reconciliation between 14 Palestinian factions, including the “Fatah” and “Hamas” movements, where the Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed that Beijing welcomes the agreement reached between Palestinian factions, and also commends Algeria’s efforts in this regard. Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning indicated during a press briefing that her country has always supported the internal reconciliation of Palestine, and believes that this can help achieve unity within Palestine and promote peace talks between Palestine and the Zionist occupation.

Turkey: Yesterday, Friday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry welcomed the positive outcome of the “Unification Conference for the Achieving Palestinian National Unity”, which culminated in the signing of the “Algeria Declaration” for reconciliation, considering that the document provides an “appropriate basis for the final unity between the Palestinian factions.”

“We appreciate Algeria’s contribution to the Palestinian reconciliation process, which Turkey has long supported,” said a ministry statement, reported by the Turkish Anadolu Agency. Certainly, this occasion calls for recalling all Arab endeavors to end the Palestinian division from its beginning, especially by Egypt, which has made sincere and continuous efforts to contain Palestinian differences and pave the way for reconciliation.
